Telomeres, or why some age better than others

What is the cause of the aging process? How do biological and chronological ages differ? And how can we influence our biological age, or promote anti-aging? From a certain age, we only want one thing: to remain mentally and physically fit. Few people know that it is up to us that this actually happens. To do this, however, we first have to understand what aging and anti-aging really means.

Myokines, or the dark matter of High Intensity Strength Training

A myokine is one of the cytokines or other small proteins that are produced and released by muscle cells in response to muscular contractions. For a long time, it was assumed that muscles were only there to enable us to move, maintain good posture and look good. Since 2000 we know: muscles are one of the largest endocrine organs and they play an important role in regulating skeletal muscle mass.
